I print out and prepare the reversed image for transferring to the linoleum block.
I trace the image from the paper to the block using graphite paper. Sometimes I use a laser print and a blender pen.
I cut the linoleum block using tools given to me by my mentor, David Lance Goines. I also use a set of recently acquired fancy Japanese cutting tools.
Almost done ... A block like this one might take 30 minutes to cut. The time spent depends on the size and level of detail in the image. The detailed 18"x24" blocks have taken around 19 hours to complete.
I usually color the image area when I'm done so I can easily see if it is cut to my liking.
