T-minus 3 days...

My kids have been sick for the last week and a half, but they're healthy now, which gives me 3 days to prepare for North Coast Open Studios. Today is my son's 4th birthday, tomorrow he has a dentist appointment and Friday I'm chaperoning my daughter's field trip. Ack! I'm trying to breathe deeply and remind myself that it will all come together.

It seems I have run out of room in my garage studio, so this year I'll have work set up in my carport as well. I have created several new big works since last year, some will be available framed and ready to go, and some are only available unframed. I still haven't found the time to create all of the large works in my head, but I'm not giving up on them.

My daughter Ava, age 7, will be having a lemonade stand on June 6 from 11am to 4pm. This is part of the Lemonade Day kids' entrepreneurship program. She is so excited! She'll be selling lemonade, some sort of homemade cookie and rubber band bracelets.

While you're in Blue Lake, you should check out Blue Lake Studio. Margaret Kellermann is doing a great job curating local art, vintage finds, local goods, snacks and more. She'll also be open both weekends for Open Studios. Her own work is amazing and on display there as well.
